Joint mobility and muscle lengthening are two fundamental aspects for ensuring a correct and safe sports practice.
Joint mobility is the ability and quality that enable an athlete to execute a wide range of motion in one or more joints, with their own strength or thanks to the intervention of external forces. Therefore, joint mobility is synonymous with flexibility.
Muscle lengthening is the capacity of stretched muscles to reach optimal length, enabled by maximum excursion and return to the original state. All too often, both capacities are forgotten about or underestimated; let's start working on them, together with our instructor Carol.
